   6 If you have taken the sources from CVS you will need the following packages

  15 Before building the package, run bootstrap. You will need a POSIX
  16 compliant shell to do so. The bootstrap utility obtains various
  17 additional files from the CVS repository and the Translation Project
  18 site and prepares the source directory for building. The exact way
  19 of invoking bootstrap depends on whether you have the sources for gnulib
  20 installed somewhere on your system and on the method you use to access
  21 the CVS at savannah.

  23 If you already have gnulib sources on your machine, run:

  25         ./bootstrap --gnulib-srcdir=DIRNAME

  27 Otherwise, if you have developer's access to savannah:

  29 a) if you access CVS via ssh, set the environment variable CVS_RSH
  30 to ssh and run ./bootstrap without arguments.

  36 Othervise, if you are not a member of Savannah, run
